New from Weller the WD1000T is a microprocessor controlled soldering station which is ideally suited for use in repair and laboratory environments as well as for production, design and R&D applications. The WD1000T is based on Weller’s highly successful WD1000 station. The WD1000T gives users the same extensive functionality of the WD1 control unit and the WP80 iron’s short tip to grip dimensions but with the added benefits of the new WDH10T safety stand with Stop+Go functionality and integrated WDC2 dry tip cleaner.
Temperature offset, temperature set back level and time as well as temperature lockout can all be programmed from the WD1 control unit. Using the WDH 10T Stop+Go safety stand in conjunction with the WD1 control unit results in the automatic return of the soldering iron to its set back temperature when it is placed in the safety stand. When the iron is removed from the safety stand it will be automatically reset to its operating temperature. This process will extend the working life of the tip.

 Autofocus-video microscope
The EasyInspector is a fully integrated system for visual inspection, consisting of a CCD autofocus camera with 0.5 megapixels and a 8.5“ TFT-LCD display. The user does not risk overstraining his eyes by looking through an ocular any more; instead he looks at the object on an AA-class-display which is mounted directly above the working area and delivers an extremely sharp image with its 1024x768 pixels and 24 million colours.
The autofocus sensor makes focussing superfluous; the user only swaps between two keys to change the zoom factor. He can also regard objects from different directions by simply rotating the magnetic plate which rotates round the optical axis. The camera can be swiveled to allow inspections angles from the top (0°) to an angle of 45°. The swan-necks mounted at the sides of the camera provide best illumination of the objects. Being light-weight, the EasyInspector can be transported to the inspection site without problems.
Connection to PCs or peripheral systems via a conventional composite-video-exit. If used together with TechnoLab’s IMXpro software, the images can be stored, compared, edited or measured on a PC or notebook. The EasyInspector has a modular design and can also be delivered with larger TFT displays.
